The Miuaudio Alpha Tube II is the next evolution of our original Alpha Tube headphone amplifier, first introduced in 2015. Building on its distinctive vacuum-tube design, Alpha Tube II features a newly refined circuit and carefully tuned audio performance, while introducing something we have always wanted to give our listeners — greater freedom to shape the sound for themselves.

At the heart of Alpha Tube II is its new dual tube-family design. With a simple selector switch on the internal PCB, the amplifier can be configured for either the 6922 family or 12AU7 family of vacuum tubes. This opens up a much wider world of tube rolling, allowing listeners to experiment with different compatible tubes and discover the tonal character that best matches their headphones, music and personal taste.

Alpha Tube II retains the straightforward analogue philosophy of the original, with 3.5mm stereo input and 3.5mm headphone output, housed in a compact anodized aluminium chassis. A top viewing window reveals the vacuum tube inside — a visual reminder that there is still something beautifully analogue at the heart of your music.

Carefully selected components include EVOX-RIFA MMK film capacitors, ELNA electrolytic capacitors, Rubycon high-temperature electrolytic capacitors, precision 1% MELF resistors and the classic TI NE5532 op-amp, all brought together in a newly tuned circuit designed to take the Alpha Tube experience further.
